UniteUS Reaches Miami: 'God Marked the University of Miami Tonight'
Follow-up: hundreds more students go all in with Jesus at the Watsco Center — and the campus tour heads to Appalachian State on 13 October
The short answer
On 29 September 2026, the UniteUS campus revival held an outreach at the Watsco Center, University of Miami, where hundreds of students made decisions to follow Jesus and hundreds were baptised, according to CBN News. UniteUS reports more than 100,000 students reached across more than two dozen campuses; its next events are at Appalachian State University on 13 October and the University of South Alabama on 27 October.
When we reported on UniteUS reaching Pepperdine last week, the next stop was already on the calendar: the Watsco Center at the University of Miami, 29 September.
It happened. *"God marked the University of Miami tonight!"* founder **Tonya Prewett** posted. *"Hundreds of students made the decision to go all in with Jesus and follow up with water baptism!"*
The Night
Speakers were Prewett, **Madison Prewett Troutt** and **Grant Troutt**, with worship from the JWALKERS collective. According to CBN News, hundreds of students responded to the gospel and hundreds were baptised.
The Pattern
Two outreaches, six days apart, on opposite coasts — a Christian university in Malibu and a secular research university in Coral Gables — with the same result. UniteUS reports more than **100,000 students** reached across more than two dozen campuses.
That consistency matters more than any single night. It suggests the response is not about one campus's culture but about something wider in this generation, which matches what Barna's research shows about young adults returning to church.
Where It Goes Next
- **13 October** — Appalachian State University, Boone, North Carolina - **27 October** — University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama
Both are on our events page.
The Question That Matters Now
Every campus stop raises the same question, and it is a good one to keep asking: where do the students go on the following Sunday? The movement's own leaders say discipleship is the point. If you are near Coral Gables, the most useful thing you can do this week is make room at your church for a nineteen-year-old who was baptised on Tuesday.
Pepperdine and Miami, six days apart, produced the same response — hundreds of students choosing Jesus and baptism. Consistency across very different campuses is the real signal.
Biblical Perspective
On the day of Pentecost, those who accepted the message were baptised and immediately devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship. Scripture never separates the moment of response from the community that receives it.
"Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day."
— Acts 2:41 (NIV)
Pray With Us
Lord, thank You for every student who went all in at Miami. Connect each one to a church near campus. Go ahead of the team to Appalachian State and South Alabama. Keep this generation hungry and keep them rooted. Amen.
